In principle you could have like 20 oscillators of different kinds in a patch (though probably wouldn't sound very good ). Zebra2 does fm, additive, subtractive, and physical modelling (comb synthesis), as well as allowing you to combine all these in complex ways if you want, with tremendous modulation possibilities. However, in terms of scale, it is a very different kind of thing than zebra2.
I don't know much about fabfilter but I am being tempted by the current fabfilter group buy (which you should check out if you are considering fabfilter twin), because I also like its sounds. It has a very good arpeggiator & mseg (though I don't know how it compares with albino's, which I've never used) - there is a demo you can check out. I have zebra2 and really like it - versatile and interesting, with an excellent interface. i was really impressed with fabfilter's sounds.
i've heard alot of people recommend zebra 2 and fabfilter twin. i have absynth but i don't play with it very much, mostly because every sound is drenched in reverb,eww. i'm leaning towards Albino 3 tho, i love the sounds and the 32 step arpegiator is fucking sic.
